LinkedIn reporting can show delivery and conversions, but B2B teams need a reliable bridge from campaign context to qualified opportunity. This is a measurement design problem as much as an integration task.

Practical ruleChoose the process and decision you want to improve first. Choose CRM functionality second.

Capture campaign context

Preserve source, medium, campaign, creative and landing-page context when a visitor converts. Decide which parameters belong on the contact, company and opportunity record.

Define quality before optimisation

A lead form completion is not the same as a sales-accepted lead. Record fit, intent and disqualification reasons so LinkedIn activity can be judged against commercial quality.

Return the useful signal

Where the stack supports it, send later lifecycle outcomes back to the advertising platform. If that is not reliable, maintain a documented reconciliation between ad, CRM and sales data.

Respect consent and retention

Only collect and connect the data needed for the stated purpose. Make consent, access, retention and deletion responsibilities visible to the people operating the system.

Choose one decision

Use the connection to answer a concrete question: which audience, message or offer creates better next conversations? A larger dashboard is not the goal.
