An SEO Opportunity Bot should not be an article factory. Its job is to find the few search opportunities that deserve a human decision this week.
1. Inputs
Use Search Console queries and pages, the sitemap, Analytics landing-page trends and the site’s service/resource inventory. Add audience language from sales conversations when available.
2. Signals to rank
- High impressions with low CTR: improve the title, description and answer near the top.
- Positions 4–15: strengthen the page, internal links and supporting evidence.
- Traffic or clicks declining: check freshness, intent match and technical visibility.
- No dedicated page: create a useful answer only when the topic is genuinely relevant to the audience.
3. A simple score
Score each opportunity from 1–5 for business relevance, evidence strength, likely search impact and effort. Prioritize the highest relevance × evidence × impact result, then use effort as a tie-breaker.
4. The weekly output
- Opportunity and evidence.
- Search intent in one sentence.
- Recommended page or section.
- Primary keyword and natural related language.
- Internal links and one authoritative source.
- CTA and owner.
5. Guardrails
Do not invent results, client names, rankings or testimonials. Do not create pages for every keyword variation. Keep claims sourced and make the page useful even when search engines are removed from the equation.
6. Human handoff
The bot drafts a brief; a human approves the claim, source, audience fit and CTA. Only then does the team update the page and request indexing.
