A good AI pilot is small enough to review and useful enough to teach the team something about the process.

Practical ruleMake the decision, evidence and owner explicit before adding another channel, tool or automation.

Choose one recurring task

Pick work with stable inputs, reviewable outputs and a clear human owner. Do not start with autonomous publishing or sensitive decisions.

Write the acceptance criteria

Describe what a useful output contains, what sources are allowed and which errors require rejection.

Keep a human checkpoint

Review real examples, including difficult cases. Track correction effort rather than only generation speed.

Document the operating model

Record prompts, context, examples, ownership, escalation and the date when the pilot will be reassessed.
